Its ok since i had few years of experience on heavy bikes...my first bike or i would say my first riding experience was on a 1997 yamaha virago 535. It was my dad's..a very reliable easy to handle solid bike...Which is why i think virago are selected to be used for riding school for "B" license...Nice aint it the virago..i miss that bike...we took care of tht bike very special..sold it to a woman rider for RM9500. Virago is the most low maintenance big CC engine i have ever seen and known about...All you have to take extra care is on it's battery...Suggest use free maintenance...the major repair would be the alternators after some time..its is common for virago...others are none...easy...oh yeah of u wanna make it sound louder, DO NOT..i repeat DO NOT THROW AWAY THE SILENCER for cheap modification. It sucks...higher fuel consumption and its a waste when u plan to sell it ...buyers want it in original condition...thus find a new/used full system exhaust...

i am proud of myself+my bro ...look at the pictures of our ex-virago...flawless..looks like new...we have been using it from 1997 till 2008..thts 12years and see??...hahah...tips?? to take care of chrome-heavy bike is quite simple...use the bike! serious!! anything even humans if left un-used would bring more problems than if used regularly..... and every time after went riding on wet roads/raining...wash it!..even if not,do wash it once a week...use chrome polish on the exhaust pipes and let it be when ur riding for a day..then, wipe it away....spotless!!
Try it...
